In the morning we had our breakfast and bid farewell to Château de Brou, the Canadians, and our wonderful guides, Pierre and Alain. The rest of us got on two vans that took us to Versailles where we met our contact Claudia. We had lunch at a local cafe, then Claudia got us into the palace with a few suggestions on what to see. We were pretty much on our own to discover the opulence there, and finally worked our way out and back to the vans. Then it was on to a hotel near the airport. Some went for dinner in the hotel restaurant, but Mary Grace, Marjorie, Karen, Roger, Jeanne, and I met again and took a short walk into town where we had a fine dinner at a local bistro. Back to the hotel and to sleep. The next morning we got on the shuttle to the airport. Nancy and Steve were on the same flight as me back to Boston, where we ended up saying our final goodbyes after a wonderful two weeks.
